Have you ever unplugged? Like, really unplugged? Left behind your smartphone in your car while out for dinner? Go for a day without checking your Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook for updates?
I haven’t. As in, I can’t remember ever willingly doing that. My husband teases me with good reason. When I’m not on my laptop I’m on my iPhone. The television set usually watches me instead of the other way around.
I’m honestly not really sure where I’m going with this post. Am I willing to completely unplug? No. I’m honestly not. I think I’m addicted to seeing any new notification on my phone. It’s pathetic, really.
For that reason, over the next few weeks, I’m challenging myself to not be so attached to my phone. Does that mean less tweets from me? Probably. I will still promote my sponsors and any reviews I have pending, but I am planning on taking a little break from social media. Trying being the operative word here.
My house chores and decoration will thank me. Hopefully I will have more tutorials and updates for this little blog that started as a way for me to document my crafts, recipes and home decorating.
