Exciting things are happening...

It's almost the weekend, so it's time to celebrate!

There have been some exciting things happening for me lately in the blog world and I'll share some with you.

Remember my shout out to my BFF Brenda?  Well, she is starting her blog...and I'm helping her design it!  YAY!  I'm so thrilled to be doing this!  I hope you all like what I am doing with her blog.  It's a learning process, but I'm always willing to learn!

I got another sponsor on board!  Please visit her at Oh My Tookies.  She has the most darling little Etsy shop called Tookies with gourmet delectables that will make your sweet tooth happy!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, I finally broke the 100 followers glass ceiling! I believe in celebrating the small stuff, so stay tuned for a giveaway in the coming days!  So excited!

Here's what's OK with me this Thursday:

To wear your sweats all day while at home.  Who am I dressing up for anyways?

To re-use leftovers for a new meal.  Yeah, I said it.

To deposit your dog's poop bag in a stranger's trashcan while on a walk.  (It was trash day)

To laugh your butt off at a cruel prank in Portuguese.  Seriously, check it out.

To be excited for Christmas like a giddy child.

To shamelessly put up a Christmas wishlist under the guise of "Holiday Gift Guide."  You know what I'm talking about ;)

To whisper "yes!" inside your head when you have more page views!

To be five sheets to the wind from cheap red wine before 12 noon! (yesterday)

Thanks for reading!

It's Thursday!!

Hooray!  The weekend is almost here!  Cheers!

I've noticed the "Thanksgiving" theme going around blog land.  So, I'm sitting here on this beautiful and sunny Thursday morning in Georgia to write about a few things that I'm thankful for.  I apologize in advance if some of these are TMI (or things you vehemently disagree with).

Things I'm thankful for...
Colder weather: It was 39 degrees this morning.Yes, it means I finally have to unpack my warmer clothes (in GEORGIA!!) but I finally get to wear sweaters.  That being said...

Heat: I'm thankful I have heat.  My heart goes out to the victims of Sandy who are without heat, and are now facing a snowstorm.

My husband: He is coming home from Tennessee today (yay!) and he works so hard for us.

My husband's job: I'm thankful he has a job as so many people today are still unemployed and are exhausted from looking for work.  It took him three, long years to find a job; almost the entire time we have been married.  It was a very trying time, but our love and dedication to our marriage helped us pull through.

My in-laws.  Seriously, I have the BEST in-laws.  So kind, so respectful, so generous.  I feel truly, truly blessed!  I literally just had an hour-long conversation with my father-in-law.

America.  I'm thankful for living in a free country in which I have a voice; it allows me to have a blog.  I'm thankful that I don't live in religious persecution.  I am a Christian, but I could never EVER dream of imposing my religious and or personal beliefs on another person.  That's the beauty of America...we have freedom.  I'm thankful that our country has separation of church and state. We don't live under an oppressive country that governs strictly according to a religious book of any kind.  I can be a woman and NOT be forced to wear special garbs; I can be a woman AND wear those same garbs because it is MY DECISION AND NOT MY COUNTRY'S MANDATE!  I can be a woman and have the freedom over my own body, without old, male politicians calling the shots.  Isn't that a blessing?

God's love, forgiveness, and the gift of free will. My God is an awesome God.  He forgives my transgressions, no matter what they are. End of story.

Link Parties...for giving me inspiration on new things to blog about!

Today I linked up with:

...and I'm thankful for: It's OK Thursdays for giving me the platform to get these things off my chest.  Be prepared.  I forewarned you!

It's OK...

...that it took me several hours to write this entry.

...that I had three glasses of wine last night.

...that I made a kickin' meal...all because the hubs wasn't home.  I love scallops; he hates them.

...that I'm excited for Breaking Dawn.  Yeah, I'm one of those.

...that I did not vote...because I moved and did not have my ducks in a row.

...to be happy post-election.  Yeah, I said it.

...to feel sad post-election.  You win some, you lose some.

...to be a Christian AND have voted for Obama. It doesn't make you immoral!

...to be RELIEVED the election is over!!!!  I didn't set out to have this be so political, my apologies. It's just that late last night I finally learned of some of the nasty things people were actually saying.  They made me angry and disappointed.  No, I don't think our country is "ruined."  No, I don't think our President is "evil."  Be respectful.  When you put down our leaders like that on social media, you just allow our enemies say that about America. Be nice.  You wouldn't want people putting down your loved ones on social media.

This was a long post, but I just had to get some things off my chest.
