Late morning wine tasting

My loving husband surprised me today by telling me he wanted to go to our local winery, Butterducks Winery, owned and run by a retired couple. The name of their winery is actually really cute when they tell you the story behind it. Their last name is Utter, but all of their children's first names begin with 'B.' So they combined B + Utter. The ducks came in when they saw a flock of ducks on their property. Very cute, small and tastefully decorated tasting room and property. The owner was really nice, too!

I LOVE wine. So much so that I will have wine at any bar when I'm out! I could drink it every day (no, really). Is it a surprise that we walked out of there with a CASE of wine? HA! No, my friends! They're DELICIOUS wines not to be found at typical liquor stores.

My favorite wine of all is called 'Super Sweet Joyful Peach.' The name is a little misleading, as their 'Sweet Peach' wine is sweeter. SSJP is actually 75% peach wine and 25% chardonnay, where as Sweet Peach is 100% peach. How can you live in Georgia and not buy a few bottles of peach wine?! It's their most popular wine, and I sampled this on our wine tasting. It literally was like biting into a perfectly ripened peach. I almost tasted the peach flesh on my tongue. YUM! I also LOVED their 'Super Sweet Fuzzy Berry' wine which is a mixture of peach and blueberry. Yes, blueberry!!!

The Husband's favorite wine was 'Decadent Decoy,' a Merlot and dark chocolate blend. Delicious! We got a few bottles of that one :)

Only 5 minutes from our house, this is definitely a place we will visit again. Butterducks Winery also has wonderful wine art that I will be purchasing for our kitchen. If anyone comes visit us, we will surely take them to experience this winery.

Below are the wines that we bought. Don't worry, we got SEVERAL of the best wines ;)

and the wine glasses we received from our tasting:

Have a glass with me!  Cheers!
