I can’t tell you how much flack I’ve gotten for saying that. But the truth of the matter is, I’m 100% right. I mean, go on. Look at this beauty. It’s the perfect white piece of decoration for any space. That and white elephants (we have one on our mantel!). I found this white artichoke at At Home. Heather told me about it, and, let’s just say my wallet’s in trouble.
Lately all my spare time has been dedicated to home décor, as evidenced by my DIY stenciled wall and my landscaping reveal. I never once thought I’d give this much thought to decorating my home, but here we are. I rather shop for my house than myself #truestory.
That being said, there’s been plenty of justifications I’ve thrown around my husband’s bantering…and the white artichoke comment was one of them. I’ve lost count of how many times weird phrases have come out of my mouth, but I’ll try harder at documenting them here. Just for posterity. Really, he teases me about my home purchases, and for as much as he says he doesn’t care what I do to the house, he seems to have a (negative) opinion on just about everything. Just today he asked if I could not paint our master bath in grey. #sigh.
While everyone is enjoying the crunch of leaves elsewhere in the country, we are experiencing suffocating humidity and rain in Florida. I’m going to take advantage of the moody weather and my garage to spray-paint Craigslist finds. Particularly the brass coffee table (and if I play my cards right, I’ll have a chandelier for my office!). For $35 I couldn’t turn down the coffee table. B doesn’t like the brass (it’s kind of growing on me… ish) and we’re going to take a stab at painting it chrome. Lord help us.
Meanwhile, I’ll pray to the DIY gods that this doesn’t end up being on a “Pinterest fail” Buzzfeed article. I’ll let you all know pretty soon how it all turned out!

Thanks! I bought an attachment at Lowe’s that’s made spray-painting SO much easier!
